“SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK CELEBRATED”
“The Social Science department of HMS celebrated Social Science Week from 25 th to 29 th November 2024 with a weeklong series of events, to promote awareness about the Indian Constitution. Variety of activities were organised like poster making, slogan writing, quiz competitions.
Themes like ‘The Preamble’, ‘Fundamental Rights’ , ‘Unity in Diversity’ and ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ were the topics for the poster making competition. The Slogan writing competition gave an opportunity to the students to express constitutional values creatively. The knowledge of the students was tested about the Preamble, key articles and constitutional history. On 26 th November, the Constitution Day, a Pledge was taken by the students to uphold justice, equality, liberty and fraternity. The activities conducted throughout the week instilled the feeling of patriotism and created understanding of constitutional principles among students..

“CAREER FAIR 2024 ‘PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS’ ORGANISED”
“Career Fair 2024 ‘Pathways to Success’ was organised in Happy Model School to empower the students to explore various career paths, interact with professionals, discover emerging trends and opportunities and gain valuable insights.
Representatives from more than hundred institutions and organisations set up booths to provide information on various courses, scholarships, internships and job opportunities.
Interactive sessions with professionals from different Universities from all over the world was the most enriching experience for the students as well as parents attending the fair. The fair received an overwhelming response from students and parents, highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic student development and career readiness.

“INTER HOUSE DANCE COMPETITION ORGANISED”
“The Annual Inter House dance competition was organised in the month of October in the school premises. The event showcased the incredible talent and creativity of the students, with participation from all four houses; Shivaji, Ashoka, Tagore and Raman. Each house presented unique performance, reflecting diverse dance styles, from Tollywood to Hip-Hop.
The competition began with an energetic opening act, followed by a series of captivating house and individual performances. The atmosphere was electric as students showcased their skills, teamwork and passion for dance. Judges praised the creativity and choreography, making the decision challenging.
This competition not only highlighted our students’ talent but also strengthened the spirit of unity and healthy competition.

“MENTAL HEALTH WEEK CELEBRATED”
“Happy Model school celebrated mental Health Week from 7th to 10th October 2024, with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of mental health among students. On the first day of the week, the school organised an exhibition featuring informative displays on various mental health topics. Dr. Riya Gupta, the famous psychiatrist from Fortis Hospital, led an interactive session where she addressed students’ concerns and offered practical advise of maintaining mental wellness. The event was followed by the presentations of the senior students tackling challenges, highlighting the importance of mental health in today’s fast paced world. Unique movie reviews, depicting psychological disorders, emotional resilience, coping with pressure and understanding emotions were the main attraction of the week. Creative art session emphasised art as powerful tool for mental health awareness and emotional healing. The event was a meaningful and engaging experience, creating a supportive environment for mental health and conversation.

“CULTURAL CELEBRATION AT HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL”
“If we are to preserve culture, we must continue to create it.” Happy Model School ,Janak Puri, organised a Cultural programme on 27 th August with an array of performances that showcased the myriad of cultures represented by the students. The event was inaugurated by the school Principal Astha Ghai Walia with the ceremonial lamp lighting. From folk dance to electrifying performances, reverberated with energy of the performers, kept the audience spellbound.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to the students to express their creativity and the school community to come together in the appreciation of the arts. Such events are instrumental in fostering a vibrant and inclusive school culture.

“BOOK FAIR 2024 ORGANISED IN HMS”
Happy Model School organised a vibrant and enriching Book Fair from 9 th to 11 th May 2024, that aimed at fostering love for reading among students, teachers and parents. The fair showcased an extensive array of literary works catering to various age groups and interests.
The objective was to promote reading culture among students and the school community and to provide access to diverse literary resources. The fair featured a wide range of books including fiction, non-fiction, reference materials, graphics novels and children’s literature from renowned publishers.
Students actively participated in various aspects of the fair. Patents were encouraged to attend the fair, promoting family engagement. Feedback from attendees, including students, teachers and parents, was overwhelmingly positive.
Many expressed appreciation for the diverse selection of books. Students particularly enjoyed the fair and expressed a renewed interest in reading.

“COLOURS OF INDIA – A CULTURAL EVENT“ CELEBRATED”
A cultural event titled ‘Colours of India’ was organised by Happy Model School on 4 th May 2024, to celebrate the rich cultural diversity and heritage of India, in which students of classes Blossoms and I participated with great enthusiasm. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Sushmita Malik Vijay, the Chief Guest of the occasion. The event aimed to showcase various aspects of Indian culture through variant dance performances. The theme ‘Colours of India’ was chosen to represent the kaleidoscope of cultures, traditions and customs that thrive across the nation. The concept revolved around embracing diversity and fostering unity through music, dance and artistic delights. The event was a resounding success as it promoted cultural exchange and understanding among students, teachers and guests. The event served as a platform for promoting mutual respect and nurturing a sense of pride in India’s cultural heritage among the younger generation. It exemplified the spirit of inclusivity and harmony, reflecting the vibrant hues of India’s cultural music and dance.

“INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY 2024 CELEBRATED”
To commemorate the birthday of the father of modern Ballet, Jean Georges Noverre, to pay a tribute to the art of dance and to celebrate universal language of movement International Dance Day was celebrated in Happy Model School with great extravaganza. The students from classes 8 to 12 performed an array of dances, ranging from Contemporary to Salsa, in the school auditorium. The event was an amalgamation of performing arts and visual art, as the costumes to jewellery and make up differentiated every participant and their style of dancing. The event provided a platform for the students to hone their dancing skills and display their talent.

“CADETS SHOW SPIRIT OF SERVICE AND NATIONALISM”
The NCC girls from Happy Model School attended National Cadet Corps Camp from 14th to 24th October2023, in Rohini, New Delhi, which proved to be a transformative experience for all the cadets. The camp provided them with a unique opportunity to participate in various activities, develop essential life skills and represent the school with pride. The cadets were engaged in rigorous physical activities including morning drills, obstacle courses and trekking, which helped them improve their stamina and endurance. The camp also featured leadership sessions, theoretical and practical lessons on army life and community service projects empowering the girls with leadership acumen, self- discipline and sense of community service.
These immersive experiences provided practical insight into military style training and adventure pursuits thereby fostering profound personal development and a heightened allegiance to the ethos of service and Nationalism.

“6 TH GHAI MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT OPENING CEREMONY”
The countdown for the 6 th Ghai Memorial Cricket Tournament is over. The much awaited 6 th Ghai Memorial Cricket Tournament opening ceremony took place on Saturday, 21 October 2023 at Happy Model School grounds, prior to the opening match of the tournament between the host school Happy Model School and Mira Model School. The event was inaugurated by the school Principal, Astha Ghai Walia, in the presence of cricket experts, students, parents and media people.
GMC T is an initiative by the school to promote cricket among school students which aims to provide the young cricketers an opportunity to vitrine their capacity in different skills of cricket.
The toss was won by the host team and they decided to field first. It was an exciting match in which the host team Happy Model School won the match. Arnav Katiyar of Happy Model School was declared ‘the man of the match’ , who remained not out and scored 101 runs. Royance Nayyar of Mira Model School was declared ‘the warrior of the match’ who scored 126 runs. Ten schools from all over Delhi region are going to participate in the tournament. The media coverage of the highlights of the match was shared with students and parents who could not make it to the HMS ground.

“WINNERS OF INTER-SCHOOL COMPETITION ‘TECHNOPHILIA 4.0”

The students of Happy Model School participated in ‘A Cyber Security IOT for Sustainability - TECHNOPHILIA 4.0', an Inter School Competition hosted by Mamta Modern School on October 21, 2023. Our school’s young technocrats competed with the students of various schools of Delhi. The aspiring students displayed their ‘tech-knowledge’ in the various events like Visual Redact, Webnotch 2.0, Reel Insight and others. Krishna Thareja ( Grade 12) bagged the first position in Visual Ridact for video editing, Siddharth Kumar Meena (Grade 12) bagged the second position in Webnotch 2.0 for creating website that showcased computer vision for e-commerce and Ashneet (Grade 11) bagged the second position in Reel Insights, for her documentary on AI for sustainability. Their outstanding performance made parents, teachers and school proud and also inspired others to aim high and continue striving for excellence.

“Winners of Inter-school Competition SPARDHA”
At 'SPARDHA 2023', Inter School Competition hosted by Mother’s Mary school, our school’s talented students achieved the First position. The Inter-school event, in which teams from different schools of Delhi participated in multitude of events like Gourmet Chef- Miraculous Millets, Dancing Ballerinas- Western Dance and others. Scientia and Stand Up were also part of the event on the previous day.
The creative minds of Happy Model School participated in 'Gourmet Chef' on 19 th October , where they cooked millet salad, based on fireless cooking, and shared nutritional values of salad to secure the 1st position. First position in Dancing Ballerina- Western Dance was also bagged by our students where their performance was highly appreciated by the dignitaries, teachers and students present in the event.
The students presented themselves to explain climatic concern and solutions and secured the Second position on 18 th October in ‘Scientia.’ Commerce students of Grade11 participated in Stand- Up Comedy winning the second prize. Their outstanding performance not only made us proud but also inspired others to aim high and continue striving for excellence.

“VISIT TO SGT UNIVERSITY”
The senior students of Happy Model School participated in the grand three-day techno fest ‘Synergy-2023,’ organized by SGT University, Gurugram. They were part of the event that showcased cutting-edge technological advancements, including projects spanning areas such as robotics, eco-friendly products, sustainable development, medical technology, media technology and many more.
The event also featured captivating head-to-head competitions related to robotics, where the creative minds of our students of Grade Eleven showcased their innovation on ‘Obstacle avoiding Robots’, which was highly appreciated by the dignitary professors and students of the university. Over 25000 students from over 200 schools from Delhi –NCR region participated in the fest. The students had the opportunity to interact with educators and industry professionals. The visit was a unique opportunity for the students to learn and develop new skills and interests.

“Mental Health Week Organised”
From the 9th to the 13th of October 2023, Happy Model School embarked on a week- long celebration of Mental Health and well- being. The week kicked off with an engaging exhibition, showcasing an array of activities, meticulously prepared by our talented students. An interactive session unfolded, featuring the distinguished guest speaker, Ms. Kirti Garg, practicing Psychologist, with her esteemed team members. She shed light on the critical importance of mental well-being, emphasizing that while people often prioritize physical health, mental health is an equally vital component of our lives. As the week progressed, the focus shifted to diverse activities, aiming at fostering understanding and awareness. The second day saw students from grades 11 and 12 creating insightful info-graphics, delving into the year's theme. Their creations highlighted mental health as a universal right, evoking an overwhelming response. In addition to it, the event spotlighted a psycho-educative session designed for middle and high school students. The objective was to raise awareness about mental health and promote overall well-being among the students. Mandalas and Zen tangles took centre stage on the fourth day, providing an artistic outlet for self-expression and contemplation. The intricacy of these art forms reflected the intricate nature of mental health. The students engaged in the therapeutic activities with enthusiasm and focus. The grand finale incorporated nature and creativity, as students embarked on a rejuvenating nature walk. Along the way, they collected an assortment of natural treasures - pebbles, feathers, and twigs - forging a connection with the verdant surroundings of the school. The objects were then transformed into exquisite creative expressions, a testament to the beauty that can emerge from such a simple yet profound process. Throughout the week, the event emphasized on the importance of mental health, encouraging open dialogues and creative expressions. It was a week filled with enlightening experiences and a collective commitment to mental well-being. The school Principal, Astha Ghai Walia, appreciated the initiative taken by the Humanities department and the efforts made by the students, and applauded the overwhelming response of the parents.

“ALUMNI TALK SERIES : AI AND ROBOTICS – THE FUTURE OF TODAY”
As part of the Alumni Talk Series, an informative talk was organised by Happy Model School on 9th of October 2023, under the leadership of the school Principal, Astha Ghai Walia. The speakers for the talk were our distinguished alumni Ms Nidhi Gupta, Robotics, AI and Vedic Maths trainer and Entrepreneur at Hands on Science and Ms. Yashi Aggarwal, robotics and AI trainer and Entrepreneur at Hands on Science.
They spoke on the prospects of AI and Robotics and the ways to start a career in the fields. The interactive session resolved the queries of the inquisitive students related to artificial intelligence and its future prospects. The guest speakers encouraged the students to be a part of the rapidly expanding field today and the revolution ahead. The event was attended by the senior science students of the institution, along with the faculty members. The school Principal appreciated the enthusiastic and interactive participation of the students and encouraged them to explore more in the fields of AI and Robotics. The event ended with vote of thanks.

“CAREER FAIR 2023 ORGANISED”
Career Fair 2023’ was organised in Happy Model School on 24 th August 2023 for students of classes IX to XII and their parents in the school auditorium, with the aim to provide valuable insight into the unique and enriching opportunities available in the field. It was designed to be an immersive collaborative experience, featuring engaging discussions and one-on-one sessions with University representatives. More than thirty Universities from all over India and abroad participated in the fair. Kingston University, Bennett University, University of Victoria, The University of Sydney, Queen’s University, G.D.Goenka University, Amity University, Anglo Eastern Maritime University and SRM University were some of the Universities that participated in the fair. It was an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their parents to explore in- person, top Indian, British, American and other Universities from all over the world. Talking with the young learners about learning the ways to decide to choose their career as per their interest and potential were highlighted by the experts. This session was one in a series of sessions organised by the school to help young children become more aware and decisive while selecting their career. The interactive sessions with the experts were quite fruitful as children got to know much more than they could inquire of. The school’s initiative was highly appreciated by parents and with the enthusiastic response from the students the fair turned out to be a great success.

“ENGLISH LANGUAGE WEEK ‘IMPRESSIONS’ CELEBRATED”
To enhance language proficiency and develop communication skills, this year too English Week ‘Impressions’ was organisedin the school from 21st to 25th August 2023. An array of activities were conducted to enhance confidence and competence of the students. Recitation, Spellathon, Story Telling, Debate, Newsletter making, poster and slogan writing, Podcast, Role play, JAM Session, tongue twisters, book mark and book cover making were the activities included in the week for presentation.The school premises looked very conducive with the displays and charts on variety of topics related to English language and literature. The event provided the opportunity to the students for developing important skills in speaking, reading, writing and listening to achieve language proficiency. The excitement shown by the students participating in various activities was the best reward for the facilitators.The event facilitated students to broaden their horizon, boost their morale and set a place for an enjoyable learning.

“INTER HOUSE DANCE COMPETITION ORGANISED”
On August 4, 2023, the young dancers of Happy Model School danced their way into the hearts of the audience in the Inter House Dance Competition organised in the school for classes V to XII. The competition saw zestful participation of the members from all the four houses, Shivaji, Ashoka, Tagore and Raman House. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The choreography, synchronization, rhythm and overall presentation was exemplary, which
reflected the students’ passion and hard work. The judges had a tough time deciding the winners. Tagore House bagged the Winner’s Trophy with pride. The judges congratulated the winners and appreciated the performance of all the children. The school Principal Astha Ghai Walia congratulated and applauded them for their
mesmerising performance and encouraged the students to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents. The event provided a platform for the students to hone their dancing skills and display their talent.

To follow the legacy, Happy Model School organised the Investiture Ceremony to bestow the responsibilities on the newly elected members of its students’ Council for the academic session 2023-2024 on 24 th July 2023. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by honourable Principal ma’am. The active members of different houses such as Shivaji House, Tagore House, Ashoka House and Raman House were also part of the ceremony.The ceremony took its momentum with the inspiring speech by the school Principal Astha Ghai Walia. In the ceremonial address, she congratulated the newly appointed Council members. The newly elected members were brimming with confidence to shoulder their newly assigned duties and pledged to carry out their responsibilities with integrity. With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

Book fair is a great opportunity to expand home libraries, beside class and school libraries. With the aim to provide the children an opportunity to read by choice and to encourage and inculcate the love for reading among students, Happy Model School, Janak Puri, organised Book Fair on 5 th and 6 th May 2023 in the school premises. The fair was inaugurated by the school Principal Astha Ghai Walia , who encouraged the students to become an avid reader. She highlighted that books help children to flourish both inside and outside.Wide range of books of all literary genres were on display for the students and their parents. The fair saw an overwhelming response from the students, who spent both the days browsing a good range of books from all disciplines of education. As the fair was open for parents, it was an amazing opportunity for them to browse through books with their children and choose the best ones. The fair was a huge success and was appreciated by all who attended it.

“EARTH DAY CELEBRATED”
53rd Earth day was celebrated by the students of HMS in which multitude of activities were organised by the school for every age group of students. It touched upon the major issues such as excess use of single use plastic, depletion of Earth, climatic change, deforestation, the need to grow more and more tress and to follow the rule of 5Rs. Special assembly, tree plantation drive, poster making competition and many more activities were organised to involve students in the big cause.The aim behind organising the event was to create awareness among the young learners and involve them in the big changes that need to be brought in future to save the mother Earth. This celebration rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the young children tolove, respect, conserve and protect Mother Earth with all their heart and soul. The messagegiven by the students, through active participation and overwhelming response was crystal clear –‘ Every day is an Earth day.’ |

“EUREKA STUDENTS’ MEET 2023 ORGANISED”
The school organized Career Counseling session ‘Eureka Students’ Meet 2023’ for Grade XII students on 20 th April 2023 in the school auditorium. The students of various schools of West Delhi participated in the session. The interactive session with the eminent Career Counsellor of National and International fame, Mr. Jitin Chawla, provided the opportunity and support to the students to create their pathway to future career selection. The founder director of Centre for Career Development, with his insight and in-depth knowledge of the subject, was able to solve the queries of the students related to their career. Overall, the informative and interactive session was of great importance to them and was appreciated by the students and the teachers present there. |

“EXPRESSIONS 2023”
The school celebrated 'Expressions 2023' amidst great zest, zeal and elation. The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp and invocation to almighty God, by the kids of Rosebuds and Blossoms. Various dance performances by the students, projecting the effects of technological advancements followed by a glimpse of the idea of saving the environment of the Earth, were performed. Parents of all the students were invited to the function. The shows, presented by classes fourth and third respectively on 25 th and 26 th of February, mesmerized the audience, were a huge success and were appreciated by all present there. At the end of the program the school Principal, Ms. Astha Ghai Walia, addressed all the students and their parents, congratulating each and every one from the school, for every effort taken to make the show successful. |

HMSMUN 2022 ORGANISED
HMSMUN’22 was organised by Happy Model School on 05th-06th November, 2022 and powered by Aspirant Learning. This was the second offline edition of HMSMUN which witnessed a participation of 130+ delegates across 10+ institutions from 3+ regions of Delhi NCR and adjoining regions. The conference had 4 committees namely; UN General Assembly, UN Human Rights Commission, UN Commission for Women and International Press.
The first day of the conference, 05th November, 2022 was the day of the opening ceremony which started with the ceremonial lamp lighting by HMS Principal, Ms. Astha Ghai Walia, Conference Chief Advisor, President-CEO at Aspirant Learning, Mr. Priyanshu Grover and HMSMUN’22 Convenor, Co-President and COO at Aspirant Learning, Mr. Adarsh Kumar Singh. It was followed by a beautiful classical dance performance by the students. Day 1 ended with a great simulation of discussion among the delegates. After the first and second session of the MUN on day one, Socials was organised by Aspirant Learning for the delegates.
On Day 2, the committees began with a full fledged deliberation and discussions. The committee finished with much satisfaction as they came up with solutions to world problems or possible outcomes of the same. The delegates then proceeded ahead for the closing ceremony. The people who were relentlessly working for the conference were felicitated by the Principal, chief advisor and the convener, followed by the address of the school Principal. The dance performance was preceded by the declaration of the results of all the four committees. The Best School award was declared and the delegates were all glad to have such a learning experience.

MENTAL HEALTH WEEK ORGANISED
Happy Model School organized “Mental Health Week” with the theme 'Make Mental Health and Wellbeing for all a Global Priority’ from October 10 to October 15, 2022 In school premises with an aim to raise awareness regarding mental health issues and wellness. The event focused on educating and starting conversations about mental health and the things in our daily lives that can affect it. Psychology students from classes XI and XII under the supervision of Ms. Sonia Mehdiratta participated in the event. Over the course of five days an exhibition to create mental health awareness, an interactive talk with parents on mental health given by guest speaker renowned Dr Varisha Kamal, info graphic making competition, a quiz on mental health, a talk show prepared by students and a psycho educative session by students was organized. Dr Varisha answered questions about mental health put up by parents, in her talk. Also, greatly appreciated the initiative taken by school and efforts of the students. A vote of thanks was presented by school principal Ms.Astha Ghai Walia. Parents praised and provided positive feedback proving the event to be a huge success.

UNIVERSITY CAREER FAIR 2022’ ORGANISED
‘University Career Fair 2022’ was organised by the school on 11 th October 2022 for students of classes IX to XII and their parents in the school auditorium , with the aim to equip them with the necessary tools and information to provide them a clearer view of the admission process and ease out their University admission decisions. More than thirty Universities from all over India and abroad participated in the fair. Bennett University, University of Victoria, Shiv Nadar, The University of Sydney, G.D.Goenka University, Amity University, Anglo Eastern University and SRM University were some of the Universities that participated in the fair. It was an enlightening session for the students. Counsellors and experts from different Universities guided the students to understand the process of getting ready for the future. INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2022

One of the most auspicious ceremonial occasions of the school, Investiture Ceremony, for the academic session 2022-23, was held on 8 th September 2022 with great zeal and zest, in the school auditorium. The Investiture Ceremony is the momentous occasion when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet. It commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting. The oath was administered to the newly constituted Student Council members and House appointees. They pledged to perform their duties with honesty, sincerity and integrity and to hold the school motto with
high esteem. They were conferred with badges and sashes.The school Principal, Ms, Astha Ghai Walia, congratulated the students and urged them to lead their school from the front with their competence, confidence and commitment. |

SESSION ON 'EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS’ BY IRA SEHGAL
‘The art of communication is the language of leadership.’
The school organised the most demanding skills enhancement session for the students of class XI on ‘Effective Communication Skills’ from 19 th August to 2 nd September 2022. The programme was conducted by Ms. Ira Sehgal, an eminent and widely recognised Communication skills trainer and expert. The session targeted on the ways to make written and verbal communication effective with students.The unique training methods of the expert helped aspiring students master the art of conveying their message using effective communication skills, which filled everyone attending it with enthusiasm and zeal to improve their skills at large. The focus of the session was on enhancing and exhibiting outstanding leadership qualities,through activities and tips on phonetics, pronunciation, audio book interaction, English language skills, critical software skills, role play, public interaction through interview, importance of body language, mind mapping, presentation and panel discussions, speaking and debating activities. The bottom line of the session was,
‘Communication works for those who work at it.’ The session turned out to be a great success and was appreciated by the students and their parents, as well, who attended the certification ceremony on the final day. |

SESSION ON ‘LEARNING TO SAY NO DRUGS’ ORGANISED FOR SENIOR STUDENTS
‘Learning to Say No to Drugs’ was the topic of the Session conducted on 28 th July 2022 for X and XII graders by HMS. The guest speaker was Ms. Varisha, the counseling psychologist in Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences Department of Fortis Hospital. Talking with the young learners about learning the ways to say no to drugs, the harmful effects of drugs on the lives of its users were highlighted by the expert.
This session was one in a series of sessions organised by the school to help young children become more aware and concerned citizens of a healthy society. It was an effort which aimed to raise awareness among the teenagers regarding the harmful effects of drugs and the ways to stay away from it. The interactive session with the expert was quite fruitful as children got to know much more than they could inquire of. |

SESSION ON ‘CAREER PATH DESIGN’ ORGANISED
An interactive session on ‘Career Path Design’ was conducted on 14 th July 2022 for the Senior students of HMS, to enable them to select the right career as per their potential and choice. The emphasis was on ‘Career Awareness and CUET’ in which different aspects of CUET, like pattern and syllabus, new admission process of DU, entrance tests related to other courses and many more related issues were highlighted.
Mr. Nakul Shairwal, the renowned Career Counsellor, speaker and resource person from EduMENTOR, began the session with an introduction to the topic and the ways to understand the preparation strategies to mitigate stress related to it. The entire session aimed to provide guidance regarding the process of admission to different courses in DU and help young learners to understand the process with clarity. The session resolved the queries of the students.

The World Environment Day 2022 was celebrated on 5 th June by the school students, parents and teachers, with the focus on ‘Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature’ with “Only One Earth’ as the campaign slogan. The event was celebrated with array of activities on virtual platform as well as in person. The emphasis was on Tree plantation, Hug-a-tree, Adopt-a-tree, Poster designing, Essay writing and Slogan writing, invigorating the young minds towards raising awareness on environmental issues and taking necessary measures to protect, restore and conserve our planet. The celebration rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the young children to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul. |

‘DRAWING COMPETITION ON OIL CONSERVATION’ ORGANISED IN HMS
A Drawing Competition was organised in Happy Model School, in association with ‘The Hindu in school’ on 28 th April 2022 on the topic Oil Conservation, in which the students of class VIII participated with great enthusiasm. The competition was organised under the umbrella ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav through Clean and Green Energy’ by ‘Saksham’ – PCRA. The aim of the competition was to create awareness among the students towards the need of saving the natural resources. Students were made to draw posters with innovative ideas and write motivating slogans on the topic. The First Prize winner of the competition was Uditi Kathpal of VIII A, Second Prize winner Aditiya Narain of VIII B followed by Gurpreet Kaur Rikhi of VIII B as the third prize winner, who were awarded gift hampers by ‘Saksham.’ |

“ROAD SAFETY- GUARDIAN ON ROAD”: A SEMINAR ON ROAD SAFETY
The school, in association with ‘The Hindu in School’, organised a Seminar on ‘Road safety’ on 28 th April 2022, for creating awareness among the students of classes IX and X regarding the need of Road safety. The session was an eye opener for them as to know the reasons of increasing road accidents and how to control them. The guest speaker of the event was Dr A. Koan, IPS, MBBS doctor from Salem, presently DCP traffic Western, New Delhi. Dr Koan shared the ways to adopt Road Safety measures on the roads, whether a driver or a pillion rider. He motivated the students by encouraging them to take all safety measures while riding on a two wheeler. He also conducted a questionnaire session with the young learners and was happy with their overwhelming response. The students with the help of placards and self created posters, shared their concern on the issue. The students were presented helmets by Gulf Oil, the sponsor of the event. The event came to an end by oath taking ceremony and the singing of the National anthem by all present in the school Auditorium. The event was appreciated by all. |

GRADUATION CEREMONY 2022
The school celebrated the Mega Event of ‘Graduation Ceremony’ of class V on 25 th February 2022. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana. The event was followed by a variety entertaining programmes presented by the students. Children presented group and solo songs and skit which enthralled the audience and took them to the world of fantasy. ‘Shiv Tandav’ mesmerised the audience by its magical effects. HMS is helping in shaping the students’ personalities and contributes towards nation building by engaging them in extracurricular activities to help shape the responsible global citizens of tomorrow.On 15th February 2022, to acknowledge the efforts made by the young diplomats, the HMSMUNFelicitation Ceremony was held at the Happy Model School, Janakpuri in order to felicitate and applaud the students for their remarkable diplomatic and leadership skills in the conference.Happy Model School Model United Nations 2021, organized by Happy Model School, and powered by Aspirant Learning dated 13th - 14th December 2021, had an aim to sensitise future citizens about matters of global importance and issues which are of utmost concern to the world leaders today. As envisioned by the team, the conference oversaw a wide spectrum of thoughts from the students of Classes III - XII, who tried to solve these problems in their best way possible.The Model United Nations Conference witnessed a presence of over 100 participants which was held on Zoom - Cloud Based Video Conferencing Platform, under the guidance of Ms. AsthaGhaiWalia, the Principal of Happy Model School.Seeing the participation and enthusiasm, everyone was filled with awe. The students showed that no matter what the challenge is, or how big it is, one can overcome it and that is exactly what the spirit should be like, that is exactly how one should intend to truly be a global citizen.

Captain –Dr. Taran Kainth shared her experiences with the students motivating them to develop their skills along with academic excellence, dream as big as they can and be after their dreams. She also shared her experiences about her school life and how communication skills and extra- curricular activities matter along with excellence in academics. The talk and the versatile personality of the speaker had a mesmerising effect on the students which was a motivation in itself. The resource person shared his expert understanding of the factors that must be catered to before making any decision and what perspectives different streams offer in future. Parental involvement and academic achievement are directly proportional to each other. Keeping it in mind, Webinars were conducted by the school for the parents of Grade II on the topic ‘Nurturing parent-Child Bonding’ and on ‘’Raising Confident Children’ for Grade III parents. The Guest Speaker Ms.Varisha , Counselling Psychologist from Fortis Mental Health and Behavioural Science, highlighted the fact that children are not things to be moulded, instead are people to be unfolded. On each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children, so, the greatest gift we can give to our kids is our time, warmth of love, undivided attention and flexible parenting. Gita Jayanti, the day which symbolises the birth of Srimad Bhagwat Gita, wascelebrated on 14 th December by the students of Happy Model School with great enthusiasm, in which they recited the shlokas of Bhagwat Gita and explained the meaning to make others understand the universal knowledge of the scripture. Bhagwat Gita, being an essential guide to better living in the modern times, prompts an individual to think, to make a fair and right decision, and to look at life differently and refreshingly without surrendering one’s identity. |

HMSMUN 2021 ORGANISED
The school organised HMSMUN 2021 virtually on 13 th and 14 th December 2021. The simulation of the United Nations Development Programme on day one of the conference encompassed an extremely comprehensive deliberative dialogue on the imperatives of Global partnership for the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals. Students explicated their perspectives on national and international implications of poverty on the masses and also delved into the subtitles and graveness of climate change. Fighting together against malnutrition was the ultimate solution found on the topic. The event concluded by recognising the participants for their imperative outlook and participation over the issue. Most importantly, the students learnt the finer nuances of conducting meaningful research and oratory skills. |

‘Media Literacy’ was the topic of the Webinar conducted on 10 th December 2021 for VI and VII graders by HMS. Talking with the children about the role of media and the benefits and disadvantages attached to it. "The school observed ‘IMPRESSIONS’, English language Week with array of activities from 16 th august to 21 st August 2021 with the aim to ignite the minds and fuel the spirits of the students with keen interest for learning the important global language . Activities like Design a Comic Strip, Tongue twisters, Ted Talks, Rhythmic Rhymes, Six words Story, Character Carnival, Jingle Mingle, Words Bingo, Illustrate a Story and many more, organised on the virtual platform, to hone listening and verbal skills, decision making abilities, creativity and abstract thinking abilities of the students. The week turned out to be an extremely engaging experience mixing learning with fun for children.

"Science week was organised in HMS from 26 th July to 30 th July, with plethora of activities, for 1 st to 12 th Graders, on Virtual Platform. Scientoon, Role play, Best out of waste, Slogan Writing, Model Making, Poster Making and Debate, being some of the special ones. Overwhelming response from the students in the form of participation was worth appreciating. The celebration was a platform for the students to present their new ideas and learn from each other and an opportunity to find out new thinkers and future scientists. E-Certificates were awarded to the students. The event, organized on the Virtual platform, was an amazing experience, with scope for improvement of knowledge and skills of the budding scientists.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT HMS
"Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates harmony”. International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2021 to inculcate the value of exercise in children. This year the theme for yoga day was ‘Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family’. During the celebration, children from all grades demonstrated different asanas, wrote amazing essays and articles on healthy way of life, and depicted creative thoughts on canvas. The aim of organising the event was to ensure that regular practice of yoga helps the students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well, during all times.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATED
Earth Day is celebrated to call our attention to some of the major environmental problems, including climate change, deforestation, water and air pollution and dwindling natural resources. This year too, to understand - the magnitude of the problem, HMS celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2021 with array activities on virtual platform. Poster designing, paint it green, compose a poem or a Jingle invigorated the young minds towards the conservation of our planet. This celebrations rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the young children to save, love and Respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.

51st Earth day was celebrated by the students of HMS on virtual platform with a lot of enthusiasm. Variety of activities were organised like ‘My Earth Day Promise’, ‘Compose a Poem’, Poster making on –‘ Save the Earth- Do Something’, ‘Paint it Green’ and many more activities in which the students from junior section to Seniors participated and showed their concern towards the problem of increasing environmental pollution day by day. SESSION ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CONDUCTED FOR SENIOR STUDENTS
Adoption of Artificial Intelligence is on rise and the need of the hour. To make students aware about the impact and the positive outcomes of it on the learning process the school organised a session on it. Experts from SGT UniversityMr.Prabhjot Singh and Mr.Sandeep Singh were the guest speakers, who through interactive session answered to the queries of the senior students of classes X and XII.The students were made aware about its applications in the fields of Robotics, entertainment, e-commerce, medical, agriculture and social media. They were also illuminated about the available Courses that can help them to select AI as career. The concept was made clear through Power point presentation and short video. Overall, it was an enlightening event was a great success, as was appreciated by the students.

INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING SESSION BY MS. IRA SEHGAL
Storytelling sessions are a great platform for storytellers as well as children where they can enjoy a great story in an easy going surrounding. An interactive Storytelling Sessionfor the students of Junior Primary Section was organised by the school on Virtual Platform to promote storytelling and listening among the young learners. The session was conducted by the eminent educationist Ms. Ira Sehgal, who mesmerized the tiny ones with her story telling techniques , sound modulation and its effects. Imparting values through storytelling has been the tradition of Indian teaching. The storytelling session was an amalgamation of the modern techniques and value education methods.The session was appreciated by the students as well as their parents.

CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP ORGANISED
Calligraphy Workshop organised on 19thFebruary by the school for 6th to 8thgraders, providing them with a plethora of art experience opportunities, had an overwhelming response by the students. The art form helps to improve concentrationalong with handwriting. The art of fancy lettering encouraged the children to be more creative. The event was all fun, giving wings to the imagination of the children. The students were motivated to write in different attractive styles and experiment with letters.

Webinar on ‘Cyber Bullying’ organized by the school on 15th February for grades 6th to 8th was a kind of reminder to the teenagers to use all safety measures while using social media. The well-known Psychologist and Expressive Art based Therapist from Fortis Healthcare Ms. NishthaBakshi conducted the interactive session making the students understand the risks and remedies of the bullying problem of the cyber world.

WEBINAR ON ‘PROBLEM-SOLVING THROUGH STORY TELLING’
Webinar on ‘Problem-solving through storytelling’ was organized on 8th February by the school. The renowned Expressive Art Therapist Ms.Aleena Ali from Fortis Healthcare was the guest speaker who highlighted the importance of solving problems through storytelling sessions. She also made the students understand the skills of analytical thinking and decision making and handle big problems in easy ways. The active participation of the students of grade three and the interest shown by them made the webinar a great success.

‘EXPRESSIONS’ - 2020-2021 ORGANISED
The school organised ‘EXPRESSIONS’ - 2020-2021 with great zeal, zest and enthusiasm for grade V students on the virtual platform on 23rd January 2021. ‘Hope and Happiness’ was the theme of the event. The amount of creativity included in the variety of activities and performances by the students mesmerized the viewers. News reading, storytelling, patriotic presentations, cultural shows and various other presentations were the highlights of the event. The commendable support, involvement, and enthusiasm shown by the parents of the students made the event a great success. It was a joyous moment for the parents, students and the teachers to watch and be a part of the gala day.

‘READING PICNIC’ ORGANISED
To inculcate reading habits and promote love for reading among young learners the school organised ‘Reading Picnic’ on 18th and 19th January for grade V students. The interactive session allowed the students to share their experiences related to reading to the class along with providing them opportunities to participate in variety of activities. Great writers like SudhaMurty, Roald Dhal and Ruskin Bond were a part of the picnic as the students were encouraged to read some of the great writings by the writers. The story telling session by the expert encouraged the children to visit in the imaginary world of fantasy and fiction. The overwhelming response by the students was commendable.

EXPRESSIONS 2020
To kindle the spirit of togetherness and encourage students to showcase their talents despite the difficult times HMS organised The Annual day – ‘EXPRESSIONS 2020’ for classes I-IV respectively on 19th, 21st, 22nd, 26th and 30th December 2020 on virtual platform. Individual performances were uploaded online by the students. A cue from recommendations from New Education Policy was taken that suggests easing out academic stress and incorporating co-curricular activities in the mainstream education. The initiative was appreciated by all the spectators and the parents, who were actually the backbone of the celebration.

KIDS FEST 2020
21 November 2020- A day full of fun activities showcasing the talent and skills of the students in the age group of 2 to 5 years was organised by HMS World on virtual platform.The event,’Kidsfest 2020’- which was open for all to participate, saw a huge participation from every corner of the vicinity. Activities like fancy dress competition, story weaving, rhyme recitation and favourite song singing competitions were organised for the tiny tots, which created an atmosphere of unlimited fun and frolic. The event reached a new height with virtual celebration.

WEBINAR ON ‘THE DIGITAL ERA’
Taking online classes to prepare for virtual examinations, from submitting online assignments to online class tests, nothing has been an easy shift. To combat these challenges the time has brought, an interactive session on 'Study and Exam Skills in Digital Era' was conducted by Ms.Varisha, Counselling Psychologist, Fortis Mental Health and Behavioural Science on 3rd December 2020.
In the session, she enlightened the students about the methods of studying, revision routine and improving concentration. Stress was laid on frequency of revising a difficult topic in order to master it. The session concluded by sharing points about digital detox in this digital era.The students acquired study skills and learnt strategies. Queries were answered patiently.
It was truly an informative session which dealt with experiential issues. The students appreciated the initiative taken by the school in this difficult time to counsel them for their better future.

GURU PURAB CELEBRATED
HMSians celebrated 550th anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Devji with great devotion and gaiety. The teachers and the students recited hymns in the praise of the Almighty. To add colour to the celebrations, children were dressed up in Punjabi attires. Teachings of Guru Nanak Devji were also shared with students on virtual platform. They were urged to follow the path of universal brotherhood to promote National integration and communal harmony.
Students really understood how the principles of Guru Nanak Devji are relevant to the mankind even in today's times.

CYBER WEEK ORGANISED
The IT faculty of the school organised Cyber Week for the students of all the levels from 23rd November to 27th November.
The week offered multifarious activities such as preparation of PowerPoint presentation, form making in Ms word, ‘Be a Technophile’quiz, debate competition and many more activities were organised. The event aimed to bring out the technical, creative and scholastic skills of the students.Throughout the week the students put in their best efforts to showcase their talent through quality participation in different activities. E certificates were provided to the winners.

DIWALI CELEBRATION
Diwali is the most exuberant festival when all feuds are forgotten and people are in the zenith to rejoice. HMS also left no stones unturned to ensure that the students bask in festivities and yet learn something new. The students geared up for their special celebrations with making paper chandeliers, poster making, Quiz, Poem Recitation/ Composition as a way to understand, honour and enjoy the importance of Diwali.

‘NATIONAL UNITY DAY’ OBSERVED
Unity is strength, where there is teamwork and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved.
RashtriyaEktaDiwas or National Unity Day was observed on 31st October by the school students on virtual platform. The pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation was taken by the students. The students also resolved to make their own contribution to ensure internal security of the country. The day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of SardarVallabhbhai Patel.
National Unity Day provides an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation India- to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity and integrity of our country.

‘GYAN-E-GANIT’ - CELEBRATING LEARNING MATHS
‘Maths is not about additions and subtractions. It is the ability to look at the patterns and observations, a subject that comes handy for lifetime.’
Organising Maths Week virtually was a fantastic opportunity for the children to engage in math activities, which they may not normally get a chance to experience in a normal lesson. Keeping this in mind, the school organized Maths week, from 19-22 October 2020. Over the course of the week, all the sections from junior to senior enthusiastically participated in different Maths activities designed to challenge their thinking abilities and develop their problem solving skills.

WEBINAR ON ‘SAILING THROUGH ADOLESCENCE’
HMS organized a workshop on adolescent issues for classes VI-VIII on 17th October 2020. The session was taken by Dr.NehaGami, Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UAE) and Dr Deepa Mohan, Associate Professor of Department of Applied Psychology. The session commenced with an explanation of the developmental stages of a human being. The students were apprised with the various changes that take place during these stages like physical changes, psychological changes (which control thoughts and behaviour), emotional changes (reason for mood swings) and social changes (that impacts their relationship with parents, friends, and siblings).
After discussing all the changes and their impact on a person's behaviour, it was further reiterated that adolescence was the age of rapid change. The session was fruitful as the students interacted and found solutions to their problems and challenges

“COMMUNION”- A PLATFORM FOR LEARNING AND EXPLORING
To promote the learning of business interest and marketing strategies, students of Commerce streamunder the guidance of their faculty, organized Commerce week from 14th to 16th October for classes IX-XII with a plethora of activities, with the purpose to measure the conceptual understanding of the subject. Commerce Quiz, Logo designing, Revive from Ashes, Photography session were some of the highlighted events that helped students learn about the latest developments in the field of business and market.
The week- long learning experience concluded with the words of prudence and appreciation by the school Principal. Mrs AsthaGhaiWalia,who applauded the efforts of the seniorstudents for designing engaging activities.

TALK ON ‘DENTAL CARE: ‘TALE OF A TOOTH FAIRY ’
Dental Hygiene is an important part of keeping one’s body healthy. Keeping this in mind, a talk was organized on 10th October for the students of Primary classes on “Dental Hygiene” by Dr. Akansha Deoli, BDS, MHS (USA), Dr. Parth, BDS and Dr. Neha Gaur, BDS, MDS Prosthodontics.
The complete session emphasized on how to brush and floss when to brush and how to take care of their teeth. They also talked about the importance of teeth, what they should eat to keep their teeth healthy and the importance of regular dental attendance. What added spice to the session was the way it was presented in a form of story that always is close to the young learners.
The interactive class-based dental hygiene workshop was successful in motivating younger children to carry out effective oral health practices.

‘WORLD MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS’ WEEK CELEBRATED
‘Be kind and reach out to someone within the classroom who is suffering in silence. Let's raise awareness and be there for each other.’
World Mental Health Awareness Week, celebrated from 5th to 10th October on virtual platform, was an opportunity for all to augment awareness of mental health issues and advocate against social stigma. Round the week different activities were organised to improve the mental health of the students during the pandemic times, which included mindfulness drawing and colouring and saying it's OK, via posters. Meditation sessions, session on Self-love and sharing acts of kindness was of great help to the students as well as their parents. Webinar by renowned Counselling Psychologist PallackBhutani from Fortis Healthcare was the main attraction of the event.

GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION
To revere the Birth Anniversary of ‘the father of the Nation’, Mahatma Gandhi, the students and the faculty of HMS, held a special virtual session on 1 October 2020, commemorating
Mahatma Gandhiji’slife and teachings. The student-led choir sung Gandhi’s favourite bhajan ‘Vaishnav Jan tohtenekahiye..…’ with full exuberance. Even the Gandhian ideals were depicted through a skit presented in the most eloquent manner.
All the students were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to become worthy citizens of India and the World.

WEBINAR ON ‘CAREER AHEAD:COURSES AVAILABLE IN INDIA AND ABROAD’
A special workshop on career counselling was organised for students of senior classes on 27th September by Dr.AlokBansal, eminent Career Counsellor and Dr.Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Associate Professor, ZakirHussain College with an aim to help aspiring students to get into top universities globally and in the process, help them to accomplish their career goals.
During the workshop, both the eminent speakers discussed the current scenario of studying abroad and the assessment and study methods in different countries. They also named few most sought courses and their eligible criteria.
This was an extremely enriching experience and students wished to be a part of such workshops in the future as well. The session would definitely help them ‘stay ahead of the curve’ with opportunities such as these to enlighten them.

“ABHIVYAKTI” - HINDI WEEK CELEBRATION
Being one of the most diverse nations in the world, India is a place where numerous traditions, customs, religions and languages flourish. To pay respect to our’ RastrakiBindi – HINDI’, HMSians observed Hindi Week from 14th to 19th September 2020. During the whole week students participated in various activities like Hindi storytelling, poem recitation, creative writing and various other competitions organised during the week, highlighting the significance of National Language. E-certificates were awarded to the winners of different competitions.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
The parents are the first teachers and teachers are second parents, who shape the future of students. To show gratitude towards the teachers’ efforts and guidance as mentors, Teachers’ day was celebrated on the virtual platform.
It was a great experience for all. There were some noteworthy performances by the students in the form of dance, poetry composition and recitation, which had a mesmerizing appeal, especially created in honour of their teachers.

‘IMPRESSIONS’- CELEBRATING ENGLISH LANGUAGE
'To love, to enjoy and to explore English' was the theme of English Week this year, which was celebrated on Virtual platform from 17th to 23rd August 2020. To enhance students' interest in the language, surfeit of fun packed and curious activities were held during the week.
To spice up the activities, students really did well from trying their best at tongue twisters to leaving all spellbound with posters, from creating song covers to designing book marks, from voicing their opinions on burning topics to presenting videos. Their enthusiasm round the week was beyond measures, collectively making the English Week a great success. E certificates were awarded to the winners and the participants.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The school students, pinning flags to uniforms, watching the flag hoisting and singing the National Anthem-- Independence Day celebration at school is a treasured memory for many. But at a time where such celebrations could not take place due to safety reasons, school had taken to innovative ways to honour the day. HMS virtually celebrated the 74th Independence Day with great enthusiasm.
To dip in the flavour of the day, the learners were briefed about the role of our freedom fighters in gaining the hard earned freedom through role play where they dressed up as unmatched National Heroes.
The celebrations culminated with singing aloud the national anthem, to sing the glory of the nation.

SCIENCE WEEK CELEBRATION
Science week was organised by the science Department of the school, from 27th July to 1st August 2020 on the virtual platform, with the aim to observe and learn several interesting aspects of science. As a part of the celebration many science related activities and competitions were held during the week. The event helped to enhance the understanding of science amongst the students and also to display the fun side of science.
The surprise element was the demonstration and explanation of Science Tricks by the students, which were not only a feast for the eyes but also the food for thought. The entire week saw students' engagement through simple activities and competitions which encouraged them to talk about science and lead healthy scientific discussions. Students were awarded with e-certificates.

6th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA CELEBRATED
International Yoga Day 2020 was celebrated on the virtual platform. Teachers and students together performed different asanas under the guidance of PETs. Students from various classes shared their photos and videos. On this occasion, Principal, Ms. Astha Ghai Walia, shared the importance and need of practising yoga to stay fit and healthy. She added that the celebration of International Yoga Day was a reminder to incorporate yoga in every day routine to enjoy a happy life and reduce the effects of stress and other physical ailments.

'DENTAL HYGIENE- KEEP YOUR SMILE BRIGHT' by DR. APOORVA KUMAR.
To educate children about oral hygiene, Webinar on 'Dental Hygiene- Keep Your Smile Bright' was organised on 8th June 2020 conducted by Dr. Apoorva Kumar, MDS ( Periodontist and Implantologist), BDS, MIDA.
The first part of the workshop included oral health talk and demonstration of brushing techniques to make the students realize the importance of oral health and lay the foundation of good oral health in them. It was then followed by the Quiz conducted by the resource person that acted as a cherry on cake for all attendees. They were enthusiastic to participate and answer the questions that was evident of their understanding of what was being spoken in the Webinar.
By the end of the session, the children felt better informed and promised to take good care of their teeth.

WEBINAR ON 'HELPING OUT CHILDREN TO SHINE’ by Ms. ANITA MISHRA
Webinar on 'Helping our Children to Shine' was organised on 7th June 2020 conducted by Ms. Anita Mishra, the renowned psychotherapist and Counsellor. The aim of the webinar was to make everyone aware about the emotional and psychological understanding of the students and to make the students realize the importance of bringing their inside out.
Parenting tips were shared by the expert to help parents to up-bring their children in better ways which will make them good human beings and global citizens. The school Principal, Ms Astha Ghai Walia, appreciated the concern and zeal of the parents and their participation in numbers.

INTERACTIVE SESSION ON 'MANAGING THE QUARANTINE’ by faculty of ‘THE ART OF LIVING’
An interactive session on 'managing the Quarantine' was organised on 6th June 2020 conducted by Ms. Pooja, the renowned speaker from ‘The Art of Living’. The aim of the session was to make everyone aware about the ways to manage the quarantine time effectively with family. The story telling method adopted by the expert was a great initiative to help everyone in handling the emotional and psychological aspects of all the members of the family, from kids to elderly ones, during the testing times.
Tips were shared by the expert to help parents to teach their children the real art of living a good and worthy life. The school Principal, Ms Aasth Ghai Walia, appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the parents.

WEBINAR ON 'FLUENCY IN SPOKEN ENGLISH' by IRA SEHGAL
‘Effective Leader is the one who develops effective communication skills’. HMS organised workshop for students and faculty on ‘Effective Communication and Language Skills’ on 30th May 2020. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Ira Sehgal. The session targeted on the ways to make written and verbal communication effective with students. Fun filled activities related to the topic enlivened the session. The bottom line of the discussion was ‘Good communication, written or oral, begins with an understanding of the audience. If you can get into their heads, you can find a way to connect.’ The cheerfulness of the expert filled everyone attending it with enthusiasm and zeal to improve their communication skills at large.
The focus of this session was on learning English language skills, for which various tips on phonetics and word pronunciation was highlighted.

WEBINAR ON ‘CAREERS IN INDIA AND ABROAD’ by MR. JITIN CHAWLA
To provide the finest experience and enrich the students with the best career orientation and advice the school arranged Webinar on ‘Careers in India and Abroad’ on 26th May 2020, by the well renowned career counsellor of both national and international fame Mr. Jitin Chawla, founder director of Centre for Career Development, New Delhi and team.
Mr. Jitin Chawla, mesmerized the audience with his depth of information and knowledge coupled with his wit and humor. He emphasized on the unique genetic makeup and individual differences and how career should be a choice of individual aptitude, ability, interest, skill and personality rather than society and trends.

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
Mother’s day, being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss, was celebrated on virtual platform and zealously enjoyed by one and all. The school had a special celebration on mother’s day on 9 May 2020 where teachers made an earnest effort to instil the importance of mother in a child’s life through effective thematic presentations, moral stories, dramatization and video clippings. Cards, caricatures and greetings were prepared by the students along with composing and reciting poems, narrating anecdotes and stories related to the importance of mother in everyone’s life.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
With the aim to educate the children, that it's not about others but what we can do to save our mother Earth, HMS celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April 2020. Various activities were a part of it focusing on appreciating the uniqueness of our planet Earth, while at the same time, educating ourselves about what we have and what we are losing by acting in ways that aren’t environment friendly.

ATHLETIC MEET
The Annual Athletic Meet, organised on 1st March 2020 for classes Rosebuds and Blossoms, filled the day with fun and frolic for the students and their parents as well, with variety of programmes and competitions organized for the tiny tots. The mesmerizing performances in colourful attires by the kids showcasing different sports activities were a treat to the eyes. The winners were awarded with prizes. The excitement and enthusiasm of the parents was a reward in itself for them.

GRADUATION CEREMONY
A much awaited day in the lives of the students of V Grade – Graduation Day- was organised on 15th February 2020 by the school authorities. The ceremony took place in the school auditorium with great pomp and show. The worthy students were presented with sashes and awards. The school Principal AsthaGhaiWalia congratulated the students. The cultural programme presented by the students won the hearts of the spectators and was applauded by everyone present on the occasion.

An occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity --The Annual Day Celebration----was organised on 1st February 2020 for Grades III & IV. After the ceremonial lamp lighting the electrifying performances by the students one after another with LED backdrop screen was an astounding visual treat for the parents and the guests present in the school auditorium. The day ended with feelings of inspiration and togetherness and a salute to the soldiers. The school Principal AsthaGhaiWalia proposed the vote of thanks.

WINTER CARNIVAL IN HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
Happy Model School Winter Carnival ‘UTSAV 2019’ was held in the school premises which witnessed immense participation by students, their parents and alumni at large. Various stalls of games were put up by the students for the entertainment of the guests. The programme started with melodious song presented by school choir group. Games and rides, live performances by the school students, mouth watering cuisine, creative corner and Lucky draw were the main attractions of the show. The school Principal, Ms.AsthaGhaiWalia, while giving away the prizes to the winners, appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers in organising the event and urged the students and their parents to spend some time together and enjoy the activities. The exuberant celebration and the fun filled day culminated with special lucky draw arranged for the teachers. Once again a great example of active participation, dedication and coordination by the HMS family.

“UDAAN” : ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
‘Udaan” was celebrated with great enthusiasm by presenting variety of shows by the students in colourful attires. The zeal of the students was visible in their mesmerising performance which left the audience spellbound. The digital background presentation made the event a grand success. The event showcased the talent of the students in their presentation of the programme. The school auditorium was stuffed with the parents and students to the fullest capacity. The school Principal Ms.AsthaGhaiWalia appreciated the efforts made by the students and the initiative taken by the teachers in preparing them for the event.

CELEBRATING 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MAHATMA GANDHI
The 150th Birth Anniversary of ‘the Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated with the fervour of patriotism in the school premises by the students. Variety of programmes were organised to highlight the lessons of love , compassion, truth and non- violence taught by Gandhiji.

MEGA TREE PLANTATION DRIVE : A STEP TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT
Happy Model School took the initiative to create awareness among the students and the need to plant more and more trees to save the depleting environment. Every member of the school, from students to teachers participated in the tree plantation drive initiated by the school in the second week of August. A rally was also organised to create awareness in the citizens of the nearby area and encourage them to plant trees in the locality.
Considering the manifold benefits of trees, including that they release oxygen into the air, absorb harmful gases and purify the air, the school conducts tree plantation drive from time to time. The students organise rally in the nearby areas to involve the citizens. It becomes an honour when the parents and the alumni join in the efforts. The school Principal AsthaGhaiWalia encouraged the students to become concerned citizens of the society and participate in such programmes. Saplings were planted in and outside the school premises and the nearby areas.

PSYCHOLOGY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
HMS Class XII Psychology students got an opportunity to attend a six day Internship Programme on Mental Health and Behavioural science at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi.
The objective of the programme was to expose the students to the applied field of Psychology. The students learnt the scope and upcoming super speciality in the field and participated in experimental activities to enhance self awareness.Topics such as Clinical Disorders, Psychological Interviewing and the role of psychology in Healthcare were addressed by the Multidisciplinary team of experts. The students prepared power point presentations, posters and self composed poems and showcased the same at the end of the day. After the programme, they were awarded with certificates for their participation and performance.

HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL STUDENTS CREATED HISTORY IN WORLD CUP SERIES 2019
The year—2019, a memorable year for the State Olympic Winners in Table Soccer ----YashArora (Gold Medalist), PalakBhardwaj (Bronze Medalist) and Navdeep Singh(Rank 1 holder in Best 20). The official Indian National Table Soccer Team, which comprised of six team members ---- the Young Kids, -----three of them were from Happy Model School, JanakPuri.
The six member team represented India under the flag of Federation of Table Soccer, India (FTSI) in the World Series, World Cup Championship and World Cup Series 2019 which was held from 28th June to 7th July 2019 in Murcia, Spain.

MEET THE AUTHOR SESSION
There is nothing more exciting than getting the chance to attend a book signing and meeting the author you have read. ‘Meet the Author’ session was organised by Happy Model School for the students of Grade V and VI in the school auditorium where the students got the opportunity to interact with Sampurna Chattarji, the renowned poet, novelist, translator and illustrator and get their books signed by her. The interactive session with the writer encouraged the students to read new books. It helped them to get the author’s perspective on the book and a chance to meet the brilliant person who created the world and characters they loved so much. It was a unique opportunity to go deeper into the understanding of the art of writing and creating an imaginary world of wonders. It was an enthralling and never- before like experience for the students. Principal, Ms. Astha Ghai Walia encouraged the students to be avid readers throughout their lives.

ANTI- CRACKER WORKSHOP ORGANISED
Happy Model school, Janak Puri, organised anti cracker workshop for the students of classes VIII, XI and XII with the aim to create awareness among the students about the harmful effects of burning crackers. The guest speaker to the occasion was the renowned advocate Mr Amit Tanwar . This session was a part of "Legal Literate Programme" at school level.The school Principal Astha Ghai walia and Vice Principal Shashi Naithani Deoli welcomed the guest speaker and invited him to educate the students by sharing his knowledgeable information.The chief guest encouraged the students to “Say No to Crackers’ and saving lives by doing so. He talked about the level of pollution increasing in the cities by burning crackers, just for the sake of fun. He also talked about the amount of child-labour used in this regard, exploiting the future of the children, the future citizens of the country. The statistics presented by him was an eye-opener to many a students. He added that as young citizens the future of the planet depends on them and it is high time to take preventive measures. He also talked about the ways how this problem can be handled, planting trees to make the environment pollution free being one of the measures. He added that the future of the Earth is everyone’s responsibility and saving the environment should be the top most priority.The programme concluded with vote of thanks.

THE 4TH GHAI MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT INAUGURATED IN HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
A unique sporting venture, set to make a mark to promote Cricket among school students, under 12,the 4th Ghai Memorial Cricket Tournament, was inaugurated by Happy Model School Principal Ms.Astha Ghai Walia on 1st November 2018.The school playground was the venue for the inaugural match played between the host school and Sumermal Jain Public School, in which HMS was declared the winner by 105 runs. The toss was won by Sumermal Jain team which decided to field first. Happy Model School team scored213 runs in 25 overs at the loss of four wickets. Jatin Bhardwaj was declared the Man of the Match. SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR 2018 AT HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
Happy Model School, Janak Puri, organised Scholastic Book Fair in the school premises from 29th Oct. to 3rd Nov. 2018, to provide the children an opportunity to read by choice and to promote the habit of reading. The fair was inaugurated by the school Principal Astha Ghai Walia, who encouraged the students to become regular readers. A wide section of books and reading material were on display for every age group students. The fair saw an overwhelming response from the students, who spent the week browsing a good range of books from all discipline of education. A lucky draw was also organised in which the students got a chance to win books of their choice. A quiz was also arranged for the junior students, giving them the opportunity to win books as prize. Various other activities like’ Classroom Challenge’, ‘Most Incredible Class’ and gift hampers were also there for the book lovers. ‘ Wish List Brochure’ were filled up by the students and taken home by students during the fair. The fair was open for parents, which was an amazing opportunity for them to browse through books with their children. The fair was a great success and was appreciated by all who attended it. Class IV-A won the ‘Most Incredible Class’ challenge and was awarded with certificate and a book hamper.

EXPRESSIONS 2018 : AN ANNUAL AFFAIR
‘Expressions 2018’was organised in the school on 3rd November. The event unfolded with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by the cultural event presented by the students of Grade 1.After the warm welcome of the dignitaries by the school Principal the audience was in raptures to see the presentation of the performers depicting the show from Africa ----giving a perfect glimpse of the land. The fervour of patriotism was in the air when the young ones presented their love for their country with “ Vande Mataram.” It was mesmerizing to see ‘Kung- Fu’ being presented in the dance form. The event won appreciation from all present on the occasion. The event saw its culmination with variety of dances presented by different group of students of the same class. The vote of thanks was proposed by the school Principal Ms. Astha Ghai Walia.

STUDENTS AWARDED FOR PERFORMANCE IN QUIZ COMPETITION
Happy Model school, Janak Puri, organised prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the quiz organised the previous week by SDMC regarding prevention of Dengue, Chikangunia and Malaria. Mr. Narendra Chawla , Mayor, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, presided over the function as the Chief guest. The school Principal Astha Ghai walia and Vice Principal Shashi Naithani Deoli welcomed the chief guest which was followed by ceremonial lamp lighting. Saraswati vandana was presented by the school choir group. The chief guest, while giving away saplings as prize to the winners, in his speech encouraged the students to plant trees to make the environment pollution free. He also asked them to nurture the sapling they plant till it becomes a tree. He added that the future of the Earth is everyone’s responsibility and saving the environment should be the top most priority.The programme concluded with vote of thanks.

ROCKSPORT ADENTURE CAMP IN HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
6th October was the day finalized as the mega adventure day as ‘Rocksport Adventure Camp’ was arranged by Happy Model School, Janak Puri in the school campus with a lot many fun activities for the kids of class Rosebuds to the third graders.The camp exposed campers to a variety of challenging and exciting activities like Zip live, hop scotch, swinging bridge, commando crawl, rope ladder climbing, Burma bridge, Zorbing, tent pitching and many more.The camp was duly supervised by the school teachers and professional instructors from Rocksport, performing various activities.The Rocksport experience is full of activities and opportunities for everyone. And above all, it is a fun-filled event---- an adventure for lifetime !

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION ‘EXPRESSIONS’
The school saw life and energy being propelled into an ‘ethos inspiring vision’ when the school celebrated Annual Day “Expressions” on 29th September 2018, with great enthusiasm in the school auditorium, in which the students of the different sections of class ‘Blossoms’ presented the programme revolving around the themes of cultural diversity and beauty of the country. The paradise of India ‘Kashmir’ on hand and the land of Gandhi ‘Gujarat’ on the other came live in different forms on the stage in the performance of the students. The Punjab and Bengal were also not left behind. The vote of thanks was proposed by the school Principal, Ms.Astha Ghai Walia. It was indeed a joyous moment for the guests, parents, students and the teachers to watch and be a part of this gala day.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY OF PREFECTORIAL BOARD
The investiture ceremony of the Prefectorial Board of Happy Model School, Janak Puri took the pledge of honour on 8th Oct. 2018. The special assembly to mark the occasion was an inspiring moment for all the prefects. The office bearers from classes IV to XII received their badges from the school Principal Ms.Astha Ghai Walia.The office-bearers pledged to keep the welfare of the students their utmost priority and also to work for the betterment of the school. The handing over of the badges to the 65 members of the Senior Prefectorial Board and 30 members of the Junior Prefectorial Board was witnessed by the school students.The school Principal congratulated the newly appointed prefects and motivated them to pursue their dreams with extreme zeal and dedication. The ceremony concluded with the vision of the prefectorial board and the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal.

GANESH UTSAV CELEBRATED WITH DEVOTION
The students of Happy Model School celebrated Ganesh Utsav with great pomp and gaiety. The session started with traditional lamp lighting followed by Ganesh Vandana. Children showcased dances, songs and skits depicting their devotion to lord Ganesha and the importance of the festival. The parents appreciated the efforts of the students. The school Principal Ms. Astha Ghai Walia, encouraged the students to respect their culture and traditions and to enjoy the occasion to the utmost.

SWATCHTA ABHIYAAN’ ORGANISED
‘Swatchta Abhiyaan’ was organized by the school in the first week of October in the school premises, where the school Principal Ms. Astha Ghai Walia, the Vice Pincipal Ms.Shashi Naithani Deoli, many of the teachers and the children from various classes participated in the drive. The students took part in the school assembly talking on different aspects of cleanliness, especially with regards to the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Hygiene and sanitation related activities were encouraged to ensure physical cleanliness. Ten simple methods to keep themselves clean and wash hands were shared with the students. The students came out to clean the premises of the school. Children’s cabinet was constituted to supervise and monitor cleanliness. The students from different classes cleaned their surroundings which gave them the sense of pride as they were the part of the swatchta abhiyaan. The children came out to clean the community park in the nearby area and had talks with common people of the community to create awareness.

ENGLISH WEEK CELEBRATION AT HMS
The School celebrated Literary week from 20th August to 28th August with the aim to present new insights into linguistic intelligence, the process of learning and language acquisition. It was an effort to empower the learners with creativity, critical thinking, expression and comprehension, as well as enjoy the beauty and comprehend the power of a language.The active participation of the students in various competitions and activities organized on the occasion gave it the fervor of a festival. The competitions included book mark making, book cover, poster-slogan writing, banner display, spell bee, poetry recitation, debate, extempore, creative writing for different levels and had an overwhelming response. Famous lines of English literature found the place on the stage presented by modern readers of the universal language.

TRAINING SESSION FOR FECILITATORS
Our school organised a training session for the facilitators to equip them with the skills required, with the changing scenario in the field of education. The one and a half hour module was focussed on bringing sensitivity to team work, effective communication, response to change and mindset. The methodology adopted by the facilitator Dr. Poonam Nuhawan, the founder CEO of Coretech Systems, was based on activities followed by inputs. The educators had a brilliant time and a great learning experience. The session was a motivating one and was appreciated by all.

VISIT TO AEROPLANET
Believing in the fact that Excursions and Trips are perfect ways to expand ones horizon, Happy Model School, Janak Puri organized a visit to Aero planet for Grade III students giving them one of its own kind of experience. The trip comprised of boarding the aircraft, safety demonstration for use of oxygen mask, life jacket and safety belts. The students were excited and thrilled to take part in the activities organized for them as they were given hands on experience of sliding down from the aircraft in case of emergency landing. The visit was a great learning experience for them as it helped in their vocabulary enrichment too by learning words like turbulence, cockpit ,stewards etc. It was a day full of fun and excitement for the young learners.

SCIENCE WEEK CELEBRATED
Our School organized its Annual Science Fest from 16th July to 20th July 2018 in the true spirit of scientific pursuit, as science fervor could be felt all around the school premises. The students from III-XII participated in various activities organized like, Quiz, Debate, Slogan Writing, Model making, Poster making, and Drama Presentation.‘Is Modern Technology Good or Bad’ was the topic of debate, where Utkarsh of X and Ishan of IX were the first position holders, Gagandeep and Yash Sharma of X and Shivam were the runner ups. Science Quiz was conducted in which the senior students of XI and XII classes participated. The winning team comprised of Devesh and Saransh of class XI and Shubham Shah, Somya Chaturvedi and Mahika Chauhan of class XII. The models presented by Nischay, Harsh Chana and Lakshay Bhutani of X were the most appreciated ones. Lakshay. Mili and Himanshu of class VIII prepared model on Kaleidoscope and volcano respectively which were also appreciated by all. Mayank kumar, Ansha Bhaskar and Kanan presented models on Electric car, DC motor and water management respectively from class IX. Students from junior sections got applause for their models too. The school Principal Astha Ghai Walia appreciated the efforts of the students, congratulated the winners and motivated the studens to participate in more and more competitions related to science as science has got a great future.

‘ELECTORAL LITERACY WORKSHOP’ ORGANISED
The School organized “Electoral Literacy Workshop” in the school auditorium on 18th August 2018 in which the members of the ‘Electoral Literacy Club’ of the school organized various events to provide information about the topic to the students. The interactive session was organized to spread awareness about the election procedure. Ms.Anupma Chakravarti, SDM Election, who was the Chief Guest of the event interacted with the students about the importance and procedure of election. The school Principal Astha Ghai Walia graced the event with her presence. In the quizzing session the students participated with full enthusiasm. The students also quenched their curiosity by asking various questions regarding the topic. An oath was taken by the students that they will use their right to vote thoughtfully, when they grow up. All in all , it was a wonderful learning experience for all.

TALK ON ‘CYBER SAFETY AND VERBAL CONDUCT’
An enriching talk on ‘Cyber Safety and Verbal Conduct’ was organized by the school authorities for the students of classes IX and X as well as XI and XII respectively on 6th August and 14th August 2018 in the school auditorium. The Guest Speaker for the session was additional Session Judge, Mr. Gautam Manan, who talked in details about the misuse of information technology and social media and how young minds can stay safe and make proper use of smart phones . Information about motor vehicle act, cyber stalking and cyber bullying, IPC, physical abuse and verbal and physical conduct were also provided to the students. The interactive session with the expert was an educative and enriching experience for the students. The talk was one of its own kind and was appreciated by all present there.

EARTHQUAKE MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED
Earthquake mock drill was conducted in the school. The volunteers were specifically instructed regarding the procedure and the safety measures to be taken during the conduct. To adjudge the safety preparedness of the school the students, teachers and the other staff members actively participated and helped in evacuating the school building within a period of 3 minutes .The students were instructed about the Dos and Don’ts, in case of an earthquake or other disasters.

YOUNG TALENTS PROVE THEIR METTLE
Young quizzers of Happy Model School proved their mettle at SGT University bagging 1st position in SGT Inter- School Quiz Competition 2017, where teams from 60 schools of Delhi and NCR competed for the trophy. Deepanshu Kumar and Sahil Wadhwa of class XII took the winner’s trophy.

EXPRESSIONS 2017” – THE ANNUAL AFFAIR
The school celebrated ‘Expressions 2017’ amidst great zest, zeal and elation. Vikram Seth’s ‘Elephant and the Tragopan’ was dramatized which projected the idea of saving Earth followed by a pledge to save the planet. A glimpse from the Epic Mahabharata, in the form of dance drama, ‘Abhimanyu’ was also presented. The show was a huge success and was appreciated by all present there.

The school participated in the ‘One Nation Reading Together’ campaign by Scholastic India. The students of classes 3rd to 11th spent 30 minutes reading for fun, in their classrooms. The reading commenced with a pledge taking ceremony. The event concluded by signing the Graffiti wall and sharing their experiences.

3rd GHAI MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT
The 3rd Ghai Memorial Cricket Tournament, a Unique sporting venture, set to make a mark to promote Cricket among school students, under 12, was inaugurated by the School Principal Ms.Astha Ghai Walia, on 6th November 2017. The school playground was the venue for the inaugural match played between G.D.Goenka School, Model Town and St. Thomas, Dwarka. Schools of New Delhi participated in the tournament to make their mark in the field of Cricket, competing for the Ghai Memorial Cricket Tournament 2017 Trophy. The toss was won by St. Thomas School , which decided to field first. The target of 142 runs was given by G.D.Goenka School team to the opponent team to win the match, as the team was out by scoring 141/10 in 23 overs. Sarthak Ray and Pranav Agmani of St Thomas took 3 wicket each. St. Thomas Team was declared the winner of the match by scoring 144/6 in 16.2 overs. Dhruv and Ujjwal of G.D.Goenka took 2-1 wicket respectively. Sarthak Ray, St. Thomas, was declared the Man of the Match and Jagrit Gambhir, G.D.Goenka School, as the best player.

VISIT TO BANK
Happy Model School, Janak Puri, organised a visit to the nearby bank for the primary and middle school students to provide them knowledge about the working of the outlet. A quiz was arranged for the students and they were allowed to win gifts and prizes.

KIDSFEST – THE REAL FESTIVAL AT HMS
Happy Model School organised ‘Kidsfest 2017’—a platform for Self- Expression’ on 18th November. With competitions like Super Chef, Fancy Dress, Recitation, Story Telling, Best Out of waste categories and various fun activities like Mug painting, Planter Making, Finger Puppet etc. The smile on the parents’ faces and the happiness of the kids were the proof of the success of the event.

HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP AT HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
‘Health is the topmost priority’, keeping this in mind Happy Model School, Janak Puri organised a medical health check-up camp for all the students on 14th and 15th November. A team of doctors from eminent hospitals conducted the camp which included General Physical examination, Blood Pressure check-up, BMI check-up, Dental Check-up, Eye-Nose -Throat Check-up.

MODELITES EXCEL IN SCIENCE EXHIBITION
The students created an impact in the Zonal Science Exhibition by winning the following:
‘Magical Path with Future Green Car’, made by Pratham Khurana and Aarav Jha of class XI.
‘Technological Waste Management’ prepared by Akanksha Kumari and Somya Chaturvedi class XI.
‘Smart Solution for Smarter India’ prepared by Ambuj Bhog of class XII Aniket Srivastava of class XI ,an app invented for the partially blind people which can help them to read the text. The futuristic models won a lot of appreciation in the exhibition from the judges as well as the viewers.

MUN AT HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL
HAPPY MODEL SCHOOL, was the official venue for Credere MUN’17, with more than 300 delegates from various institutions, an event to bring together talented and motivated delegates from all over the country and provide a forum for meaningful debate about the basic International relations and come up with several solutions to further problems.
It was an opportunity to gain insight into the art of diplomacy, build skills in public speaking, research, debate and understanding the value of collaboration and compromise. The change makers had a lasting impact on the delegates, making them potential developers and grooming their leadership skills.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY OF STUDENT COUNCIL
The Young Leaders were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence, when the Prefectorial Board for the new academic year was formed on 8th September 2017. Badges to the 44 members of the Senior Prefectorial Board, 22 members of the Primary Prefectorial Board and 27 Class Representatives were handed over.

AWARENESS DRIVE : DENGUE PREVENTION RALLY
Happy Model School, along with SDMC Public Health Department, took an initiative to create awareness regarding Dengue, Malaria and Chikangunia Prevention in and around the school on 21st July 2017. Officials from SDMC, Students and school teacher Ms. Simmi Yadav actively participated in the drive. The Vice Principal, Ms.Shashi Naithani Deoli, flagged off the rally.

3RD INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
3rd International Yoga Day was celebrated in Happy Model School Janakpuri with great aplomb and enthusiasm. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature and is a holistic approach towards health and well- being. About two hundred fifty students from seven educational institutions of the city participated in the programme in which various yogic exercises were performed .
